Positive: You can’t beat the location and accessibility. Right off of town square. Very comfortable escape from the crowd, but easy access to Valletta.

Negative: No facilities to speak of. Shower kept flooding. Small rooms. Front desk was decorative.

Positive: Staying at this property was an absolute delight. The location is spot on - right in the heart of Birgu (Città Vittoriosa), at the top right corner of Vittoriosa Square, making it the perfect base to explore this beautiful historic city. The building itself is lovely, with a stunning reception area, a modern lift, and convenient keyless room access. The room was thoughtfully equipped with a coffee machine and kettle, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The bed was extremely comfortable, but what truly stood out were the towels and bed linens. I had read previous reviews mentioning their incredible scent, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was absolutely true. These were genuinely the best‑smelling towels and sheets I’ve encountered in all my travels. A wonderful stay from start to finish.

Negative: There were only a few small things that weren’t ideal for us. Friday night was quite noisy due to what seemed to be a nearby karaoke bar, and with the single‑glazed windows, the sound carried through until around midnight. The other two nights were much quieter, so it wasn’t a constant problem. We stayed in room 301 on the third floor, and the exterior window shutters didn’t open, as they appeared to be fixed in place, which limited natural light a little. The bathroom extractor also didn’t seem to work effectively, so the bathroom stayed damp for quite a long time after showers. These were minor inconveniences overall, and they didn’t overshadow the stay. Howard was an excellent host - very responsive, polite, and genuinely helpful throughout. We would happily stay at this property again, though next time we’d choose a different room.
